For me, 2008 > 2017 > 2012. Much prefer the original, and it's maybe the last one I tried. The first I owned was the 2012, and it didn't really work for me. The 2017 was better, but still not 'quite' .What does 2008 compare like to the other three formulations? I've read through the notes of all four on fragrantica but would like some anecdotal opinions from people that have tried 2008.
Conversely, it is extremely easy to remember the best incarnations of many of these compositions, and I brought one of them back into the limelight on YouTube the other .

There's at least one interim reforms it appears, but the general gist is 2008-2012, 2012-2017, 2017-present. My order of preference is 2008 (by a notable margin), then 2017, then 2012. All . The 2008 version is stronger, but the ginger is also stronger and can come off as a bit harsh if you're not a big ginger fan. I also get more of an aquatic accord in the 2008 version. In contrast, the 2012 version is heavier on the iris and is quite bit smoother in the opening. The ginger is still there, but it's blended more with the iris.
